Please note this correction:  The printing press was introduced to the West about “1444”  (the Gutenberg Bible was printed in 1454). Also, just to clarify, the term “typos” is being used in the nontechnical sense of “minor or unintentional copying errors”, since “type” (i.e., the printing press) didn’t exist until the 15th century.
